MHYC will be holding Junior Sailing Holiday Fun Camps during the January school holiday period. The camps will run as follow:-

Sailing Clinic - Racing Tactics & Strategy
Wednesday 21st November, 2012, at 7.30pm
Quantum’s Carl Crafoord & Brent Fowler will present an evening seminar on Racing Tactics & Strategy, to help you kick off your summer season of sailing.
Carl has a wealth of experience including 26 Sydney to Hobarts (winning 4 as navigator), 9 Admirals Cups, 9 Kenwood Cups, as well as logging over 150,000 offshore miles. Brent has been a key member of many teams wining both Australian and Asian IRC Regattas. He turned heads when at 23 years old he helmed the first Australian Team at the Med Cup in the Soto 40 Series, with the average age onboard at 24.

As part of the Club’s new strategic plan, we have reached a preliminary agreement with well know Mosman trainers, Tani Ruckle and Michael Lynch, to offer a range of fitness and wellness programs to Club Members to be run from the Club premises.

Sailability Require More Helpers
Following on from the recognition MHYC received from last weekends Yacht Australia Awards, Sailability Middle HArbour continues to offer the freedom of the the sailing experience to people with disabilities on two Sundays every month. To spread this opportunity to more prospective sailors, Sailability Middle Harbour needs more volunteers - both on the water as skippers and land support.

Offshore Sail & (Basic) Navigation Exercises - 10th November, 2012
For those not racing that day, why not sail in company with a few other Club yachts to an offshore waypoint to revise your basic navigation skills? Whilst enjoying this fun sail over the horizon, refresh those manual navigation skills, which are so useful for getting the most out of your GPS/Plotter. Review your course made good with the other yachts during a late afternoon raft-up.

CYCA Safety Day
On Sunday November 4, commencing at 9.30 am, The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia will be holding a Marine Safety Day that no one who ventures to sea, be it cruising or racing, should miss.
One of the main features is information about what will happen if you run into trouble at sea that you can't handle and radio for assistance.
