JOHN's family and friends are warmly invited to attend a Celebration of his Life at Middle Harbour Yacht Club on Tuesday (September 25, 2012) commencing at 2pm.
As a longstanding Member of MHYC for 47 years, John began his illustrious sailing career at Gosford Sailing club competing 16ft skiffs. John joined Middle Harbour Yacht Club in 1965 sailing for many years in his Yachting World Diamond “Pirahna”.
He continued his passion for yachting by building a Kaufman One Tonner “Pryority” which competed in many offshore races including 3 Sydney to Hobarts and the inaugural Coffs Harbour Race.
John built his second yacht “Pryority II” and competed for years with great success in Club Pointscores and J.O.G regattas.
