The Leading Edge Series has commenced and continues though to Saturday 18th August, 2012. Competition commences at 1230hrs, count up pursuit racing. Clubhouse start. Spinnaker and Non-Spinnaker Series and casual entries are welcome.

Middle Harbour Yacht Club’s annual weekend in August to prepare for the coming season, will commence with the ‘Annual Skippers Briefing’ on Friday 24th August, when the Club will hold a mandatory and Roads & Maritime Services Briefing.

 Junior Sailing - Term 3 Sailing Program
Middle Harbour Yacht Club has begun their term 3 program with a full day training session under the eye of the clubs coaches. what seemed like perfect conditions on the way out to the training, soon began to test the sailors as the wind picked up.

It’s been 3 months since we left home for our trip to Europe. We only planned to be away for 2 months which included 3 regattas, however our plans were changed as we were asked to be the training partners in Weymouth for the Paralympic Skud team of Daniel Fitzgibbon who won the silver in the last Paralympics and his crew Liesl Tesch who will be heading to her sixth games.

Last Friday of the Month Drinks
This Friday, 27th July, is the Last Friday of the Month, so come down for a drink and nibbles with friends from 6pm. A limited Seabreeze bistro menu will be available if not attending the Christmas in July festivities.

The Seventy Third Annual General Meeting of Members of Middle Harbour Yacht Club was held last week, Thursday 19 July 2012, at which John McCuaig was elected Commodore along with new appointments to the Board of Directors and Flag Officers.

Announcement of the Eight Bells Bequest Program
Members attending the Club’s AGM held last Thursday night were the first to learn of the launch of the Club’s long awaited Bequest Program –to be known as the MHYC Eight Bells Bequest Program.
Over the past years, a number of our Members have enquired as to whether MHYC has such a program, and if so, how could one go about arranging for such a bequest to be included in their Will should they be so inclined.
The Club is now delighted to announce the establishment of our program and will be providing further detail in a letter to be forwarded to all Members shortly. In the meantime, further information about the program, and the explanatory cover letter can be viewed on the Club’s website and or in hardcopy from Reception.
