Annual Pointscore Series Report -  Division 1 Final Race

The scene was set as follows,
After 19 races it was a two yacht race for the pointscore. It was 2Xcess 1.3 points ahead of Kestrel. Third was Bear Necessity who could not catch the leading two. Bear Necessity was competing in the Sail Port Stephens Regatta.

Sydney City Marine Winter Series

The Sydney City Marine Winter Series commences this Saturday 5 May through to Saturday 14 July 2012. This is a 10 Race Series with 2 discards and warning signal at 1200hrs. There will be no racing over the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend (9, 10 & 11 June).

Ben is the current NSWIS Network coach for 29ers and previously Lasers.  He has sailed Lasers for 8 years, 505's, 18' skiffs and various yachts.  He also represented Australia in the 49ers at 2008 Olympics.

Spit Bridge Lift System Upgrade - bridge and road closure update

Lend Lease has advised RMS that "the recent wet weather conditions have caused delays to its preparations for the installation of the bridge lift system."
This means the bridge will not be closed on the dates previously nominated.
Lend Lease regrets and apologises for any inconvenience this additional delay may cause.
RMS appreciates your understanding and would like to thank you for your continued patience. We will advise you of the new confirmed dates as soon as possible.

Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal

The Salvation Army's Red Shield Appeal needs volunteers in the local community of Mosman for:
Door Knock - Sunday May 20th
Senior Citizen’s Centre, Civic Square, Spit Junction
Registration from 8:30am - 10am
Time needed: 2 to 3 hours
Bucket collections - Sat 19th May and Sun 20th May - various locations in the area
Time needed: 1-2 hours
