Middle Harbour Yacht Club E-Newsletter

Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club's E-Newsletter. Members are advised that the Property Industry Foundation Charity Regatta is being held at MHYC this Friday 23rd March, 2012, with around 100 yachts participating, followed by a post race beach party. They are expecting to raise over $400,000 for disadvantaged youth. Thank you to Members for your patience and understanding while the Club is in full swing this Friday.

Access Worlds - Notice to Members

As most of you will by now be aware, MHYC is hosting the 2012 Access Worlds .... We have only 2 weeks to go and the excitement is mounting. This International sailing competition that sees abled and disabled sailors competing on the same turf is a significant undertaking for the club. It will enhance our reputation as a club and demonstrate a strong commitment to support our community, in particular those with disabilities.

Thursday Twilight Series - Race 22

Final race for the Twilight season! Count up start from 6pm. Competitors are reminded to refer to MHYC Special Regulation 16.2 with regards to the start line.

Please note: A and B Arm T heads are designated for kiss and drop only.
Divisional flags are available from reception -

Handicaps will be available online.
DJ entertainment post race.

Twilight Presentation - Thursday 22nd March

The Twilight Series Presentation will be held after the final race on Thursday 22nd March, 2012. The weekly presentation will occur first in the Sandbar, followed by the Series Presentation in the Harbourview Room at approxiamtely 9pm. All welcome.

Annual Pointscore Series

The Annual Pointscore Series continues this Saturday 24th March, 2012 with Summer Race 6 for the Open Division (SOPS) and Inshore Divisions.

Annual Inshore Pointscore Series sailing instructions are as per the MHYC Sailing Handbook.

Wednesday Series 3

Series 3 has begun, proudly supported by Inner Circle Rum, and continues through to 30th May 2012. Series entries for Series 3 are still open - click here

Junior Sailing Holiday Camp - Book now!

The April school holiday camp will run from 16th - 19th April, 2012. Our holiday camps are a combined Tackers and Fun camp with lots of activites to entertain the kids while learning to sail, including sand building competitions, treasure hunts and beach games. Click here for more details.

Only two weeks to go! The 2012 Barefoot Ball will be held on Friday 30th March 2012, featuring 10 piece band, the "Enormous Horns". Come along and join in the fun.

Spit Bridge Upgrade - Closure Update

MHYC in conjunction with Roads & Maritime Services (NSW Maritime) have laid down a number of temporary moorings in the vicinity of the Pumphouse and Chinamans Beach to service yachting in the main harbour during the Spit Bridge Closure.
