Tender Service to Pearl Bay
To improve services to the Pearl Bay MHYC will be operating the following system:-
Pick-up
• Pearl Bay Pick up - Tender ready to leave at 9:25am from MHYC tender dock
• Tender departs at 9:30am
• Tender stays on station in Pearl Bay till 10:05am and does return for picks from MHYC.
• Pickups after 9:30am departure from MHYC to be made from Rowers pontoon via Mobile - 0450 275 554 or VHF 73
Drop Off
• Tender to be on station in Pearl Bay by 4:45pm at latest.
• Drop offs will be to Rowers ramp until all boats are collected – or Tender driver has spoken with each
We trust that this will assist with the time frame of the service.
Congratulations Malcolm - Hall of Fame!
MHYC member and Olympian, Malcolm Page, has been inducted into the AIS hall of fame along side Ricky Ponting (Cricket), Matt Cowdrey (Swimming), Jamie Dwyer (Hockey) and Anna Meares (cycling). Malcolm is the most successful 470 sailor in the history of the class. Well done and congratulations! Click here for more.

Kid's Disco
The next Kid's Disco and Karaoke will be held tomorrow Friday 18th November, 2011, in the Sandbar and Cafe from 6.00pm - 8.00pm
$10 per child (includes a snack & drink)
Please be reminded that all children must be supervised by a parent. Children will not be permitted to play on the beach or enter the water when the disco is being held in the Sandbar.
Sydney Short Ocean Racing Championships, 26th & 27th November-
Entries close tomorrow, Friday, 18th November!
With the close of entries for the 34th Sydney Short Ocean Racing Championship (SSORC) only one day away on Friday November 18 at midnight, entries are continuing to flow. A great deal of interest has also been shown for the Seven Islands Race too, an annual event to be held in conjunction with the SSORC on Saturday November 26 and open to all clubs. It will feature spinnaker and non-spinnaker divisions with the start and finish off MHYC. Entries in this event close at midnight on Thursday, 24 November. Click here for more details.

Seven Islands Race - Saturday 26th November
The annual Seven Islands Race will be held on Saturday the 26th November, 2011, for inshore yachts to sail inside Sydney Harbour in a fun, yet competitive, race.

2012 Access Worlds Sydney - Sunday Summer Lunch & Auction
With MHYC as the host club and organising authority, planning is well underway for the staging of the Event to be held from April 6-13, 2012.
With 150 contestants from at least 12 nations, we are looking forward to an exciting event - rewarding in every way for all involved.
Support to date has been fantastic, with our first fundraiser being planned for Sunday 20th November - Summer Lunch & Afternoon Auction.

Junior Sailing Holiday Camps
MHYC will be running a range of activities these school holidays including
- Tackers Introduction: 3hrs of fun, if your child likes it then they can stay for all 4 days of the Fun Camp!
- Tackers Holiday Fun Camp: 4 days of fun and learning to sail. Great camp to bring your non sailing friends to.
- Teenagers Learn to Sail Camp: 4 days of fun and learning to sail
- Learn to Trapeze and Spinnaker Camp: 4 day camp for experienced sailors
- Little Tackers: Half hour introduction course run all through the holidays for 4-6 years.
- Race and Learn to Race Camps: In preparation for the big events, MHYC will be running Race Camps for Open and Green Fleet sailors as well as 420s. There will also be learning to race camps for those who have completed Tackers.

Spit Bridge Shut to Boats at Easter
The two-week closure of the Spit Bridge to marine traffic will not occur until after Easter next year, the RTA has said.

Go Again For Nat
Natalie has spent the last 12 months in Wurzburg with her partner, Andy Fairclough of Flying Fish, and their two year old daughter Elkie, taking part in the clinical trial of a new drug to fight Nat's leukaemia. She now faces another huge battle for life. Click here to read their story.
