Martela and Toy Box 2 first home in the Pacific Rigging Fleets

A gentle east-south-easterly on a fine Wednesday afternoon provided some nice conditions for this week’s Pacific Rigging Non-Spinnaker Pursuit. Course 5 was selected to suit the lighter breeze with the entire fleet coming to the clubhouse finish line before 4pm.

Congratulations to Ian Box and the crew of Toy Box 2 who claimed the Division 1 win ahead of Austmark (Gunther Schmidt-Lindner) and Advanced Philosophy (Peter Sorensen). Chris Skinner and the team aboard Martela were first home in Division 2, followed by Contentious (Brian Lees) and Let Loose (Paul Saunders).

Best on ORC Elapsed Time were Advanced Philosophy and Contentious.

After 10 of the 12 scheduled pointscore races in Series 1, Stephen Teudt’s Mondo leads Division 1 in the PHS Pursuit and Peter Sorensen’s Advanced Philosophy leads on ORC. In Division 2, Contentious is at the top of the pointscore for both the PHS Pursuit and ORC Elapsed Time.
