A forecast for a moderate southerly tuned into a fresh south-westerly with some very strong gusts, making for an exciting race down the Harbour and back today in the Pacific Rigging Wednesday Non-Spinnaker Pursuit. There were two retirements with gear damage in the testing conditions.

First home to the clubhouse finish line in Division 1 was Rob Reynolds’ Exile, ahead of Mondo (Stephen Teudt) and TSA Riley (Tony Levett). The finish of Division 2 was a nail-biter, with Paul Saunders’ Let Loose and Phil Darling’s Expresso approaching the line neck and neck. Let Loose took the win by the finest of margins and third placed Farr N Away (Graeme Lee) was only a short distance behind.

The wins on ORC Elapsed Time also went to Exile and Let Loose.
