Get Checked before the season starts

The 2017-2018 Sailing Season is approaching fast.  All yachts racing in MHYC events in the coming season are required to have successfully completed a safety audit for the category of races they are entering and the new Australian Sailing Special Regulations have come in to force as of July 1.

MHYC has a capable team of accredited auditors who have worked hard through our Get Checked weekend in June and are now making themselves available to conduct further audits.

Club House Committee - Working Bee

Our very active new members of the Membership & House Committee, are keen to see us start making some improvements and around the Club House.

We have already made a start on cleaning up the gardens, and some painting but still lots more to be done!  A painting bee for the Function Rooms, Harbourview Balcony and Breezeway. Whilst the view from the Harbourview Balcony is awesome, it would be nice to dress it up a bit, and we had an idea to wrap thick rope around the vertical posts to add to the nautical theme and outlook.

If you have any spare time and consider yourself to be a reasonable painter, and if you have any old rope (doesn't have to be in good condition and probably the more used the better), please get in touch with Karen in the office - karen@mhyc.com.au.  All offers of help and assistance are always much appreciated.
