 Update from the GM
At long last, work finally started this week on the reinstatement of Cala Luna Restaurant! Riverwall Constructions have been appointed and will be on site Mon-Fri until the work is completed – how long you may ask? Well, the crystal ball is being dusted as we speak, and once the demolition and damaged parts are removed, they will have a better picture as to when we will be back to normal.

 MHYC Sailing Handbook - Advertising Space Now Available for 2015/16 Season Edition
There is a limited opportunity to advertise your product or sevice in the MHYC Sailing Handbook, the 2015/16 Season edition of which will be published in August 2015.
MHYC members cover a wide spectrum of professions and interests not only in boating but also in the legal, financial, and property areas among many others.

MHYC Boat Register
We will shortly be preparing the 2015-2016 MHYC Members’ Handbooks for publication, and will include the Members’ Boat Register.
The MHYC Boat Register is a list of boats owned by current Life, Full, or Senior Members. If your vessel was listed in the last handbook and there have been no changes it will appear again as before: if your vessel was not listed and you would like it to be, or if you have acquired a new vessel or sold your current one, please let us have the appropriate details so that the new listing is as accurate and as up to date as possible.

QLD Youth Week - 3rd - 7th July, 2015
Entries for Queensland Youth Week have opened. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Youth sailors to compete in a big regatta. It is a lot of fun and a huge experience for the kids. MHYC would like to be able to send a coach up to support but need to know how many kids are interested in competing. For those interested can you please let Locky know ASAP!

 Get Checked Weekend - 13th & 14th June, 2015 - Book in Today!
MHYC's annual Get Checked Weekend and YA special Regulations Audits will be held on the 13th & 14th June, 2015. This weekend allows Club Members the perfect opportunity to have their boats audited prior to the new sailing season commencing without the hassle of making separate arrangements later.
So far we have received only 6 bookings - last year we checked over 40 yachts - so please plan to get your safety certification completed that weekend, we have auditors standing by ready to help. Bookings for an equipment audit should be arranged directly through the MHYC Sailing Office. Call Roger on 9969 1244.

We have a number of fantastic social events coming up in June and July for all Members to get involved, enjoy & support the Club - from the second of our Ladies Lunches to our Winter version of the Barefoot Ball! Notice to all Members and Guests - the Sandbar Cafe is open 7 days a week from 8am to 4pm. Relax by the beach with a coffee and gourmet roll! New items for the cooler months - toasties, soup, quiches, pies, sausage rolls etc.
Don't forget that our Harbourview Bar & Bistro is open Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights with heaters now on the balcony to keep you warm! Please be reminded that the Bistro will be open with normal operating hours over the June long weekend & bookings will be required due to the East Coast Championships being held at the Club.
